Richard Mudrinich, Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm), seeks to establish the Yard Safety Foundation (sm). Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) is the first yard safety super hero (a green hero) in the history of the world, and his mission is to rescue people and animals from getting hurt from a yard accident. Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) seeks to raise funds in order to establish the Yard Safety Foundation (sm). Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) wants to find a cure for accidents through research and to create awareness through education and entertainment, especially after chopping-off part of his left foot with a walk-behind power lawn mower while cutting the grass. Incidentally, Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) is a catalyst for the establishment of various yard safety educational and research initiatives. Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) seeks to develop strategic partnerships and sponsors.

Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) plans to ride a lawn mower across America as part of a national yard safety rollout campaign, thus establishing the International Yard Safety Trail (tm). He wants to create awareness with regards to the frequency and severity of lawn mower accidents. Therefore, Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) wants to charter a course and grass cut a trail through towns and alongside highways across America from Coast-to-Coast and continuing on around the globe, with several demonstrations on the ferocious capabilities of outdoor power equipment as well as presentations on yard safety to prevent yard accidents. I realize that outdoor power equipment manufacturers have made great strides to enhance the safe use of their various yard equipment. Nonetheless, there are still about 100,000 lawn mower and 400,000 garden-tool-related accidents each year.
Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) seeks to collaborate with various organizations to educate and participate during this grand expedition. I want to develop some relationships with various organizations including, government, government agencies, industry, and non-profit organizations to literally roll across America and the around the globe promoting yard safety. I want to showcase leading experts involved with yard safety, healthcare professionals, and fellow amputees at events staged along the yard safety trail. In addition, I welcome the opportunity to work with various individuals, corporations, and non-profit groups to help with the planning and delivery of this expeditious journey. Furthermore, I recognize the importance to educate people of all ages. I view schools, youth groups, civic clubs, and senior centers as a natural forum to communicate the yard safety message. In particular, I recognize that children and teenagers should learn more about yard safety before they come of age to cut the grass. Also, I welcome the green industry and equipment industry and related products community to get involved.
Also, I need mass media to reach as many people as possible to communicate the yard safety message. Therefore, I would like to make a Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) film documentary about this unique expedition to share with the public (smile, say cheese)! Heck, it is time for the yard safety reality television show - adventures of a yard safety crew and its campaign rolling across America - Letterman to Leno - with a sequel extending beyond into the global community. I envision a comedy mixed with the serious message of yard safety, including some neat and interesting cameo appearances. Therefore, I strive to promote yard safety and rescue millions of people from an often times serious injury. Think Big. Dream BIGGER.

Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) has designated the FIRST DAY OF EACH SEASON as Yard Safety Awareness Day (tm). I recognize that the grass grows and the snow falls year-round all around the world. There is always a grass cut and snow removal season somewhere in the world. The first Yard Safety Awareness Day (tm) will take place on Monday, March 20, 2006 - a historical event.
Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) has designated March 20th (First Day of Spring) of each year as Yard Safety Awareness Day (tm). I want to promote yard safety awareness all over the world. Furthermore, I want to blast and disseminate yard safety educational information toward the prevention of yard accidents. Also, Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) loves to play golf. I wish that the PGA Tour would designate March 20th as Yard Safety Awareness Day (tm). Likewise, I wish that Major League Soccer would promote and sponsor an event on Yard Safety Awareness Day (tm), including the Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man Bobble Head Doll (tm) as a promotional item.
Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) really loves baseball. I wish that Major League Baseball would designate June 21st (First Day of Summer) as Yard Safety Awareness Day (tm) at all MLB and NCAA ballparks, including the Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man Bobble Head Doll (tm) as a yard safety promotional item. I dream of the establishment of Yard Safety Awareness Day (tm), pushing my toy lawn mower before a packed stadium and broadcasted via the scoreboard to all Major League Baseball and NCAA ballparks. Ironically, I now have nine toes - one for each inning of a regulation professional baseball game.
Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) has designated September 21st (sometimes First Day of Fall) of each year as a day of Yard Safety Celebration Day (tm). Furthermore, I chopped-off my big toe with a walk-behind powered push lawn mower on September 21, 2003. As a tribute to the birthday of the Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man yard safety awareness advocacy, I have designated September 21st of each year as the Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man Birthday (tm). The Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man Birthday (tm) is intended as a yard safety celebration. I want to have a Yard Safety Parade (tm) to encourage individuals and organizations to showcase their yard equipment and to share their support of the importance of yard safety. Furthermore, Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) encourages people all over the world to educate, practice, and share yard safety awareness. Also, Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) enjoys to watch college and professional football. I wish that both the NFL and NCAA would designate September 21st as Yard Safety Awareness Day (tm) as well.
Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) has designated December 21st or 22nd (First Day of Winter) of each year as Yard Safety Awareness Day (tm). I want to promote yard safety awareness all over the world. Whether it is snowing or grass growing, the first day of Winter calls for another opportunity to refresh and develop a commitment to yard safety. Give the gift of Yard Safety Awareness for the Holiday Season. What would Jesus do?

The Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man Courage Award (tm) was established in 2005 to recognize the contributions of an amputee who demonstrated courage that made a lasting impact. The award was established in honor of my Aunt Roselyn Mudrinich, who died on Christmas Day 2005. Aunt Roz underwent the amputation of her left leg four inches below the knee in mid-December 2005 despite a history of heart ailments. Aunt Roz was a glamorous person. Also, she reminded me of the importance of the phrase Carpe Diem (Seize the Day). While she was in the medical clinic recovering from surgery and starting rehabilitation, I received a phone call from my relatives asking me to give my aunt an uplifting phone call. I procrastinated with the intention of giving her a call a few days later. She died before these "few days later" ever happened. Aunt Roz reinforced the importance of living in today. She was very courageous and made a lasting impact on many people. Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) learned the importance of promptly taking action.
In addition, I give special mention to my Bubba Victoria Mudrinich and my Grandad Homer Snyder who demonstrated significant courage with respect to their leg amputation experiences. The first year, I have given the Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man Courage Award (tm) to deceased amputee members of my family. In the future, I will give the Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man Courage Award (tm) to members of my extended amputee family.
