The Pittsburgh Experiment

The Pittsburgh Experiment means so much to me. I have experienced some difficult times in my life. I have suffered for various reasons, including some difficult people and circumstances. I have always maintained a sense of hope through my faith in God. I really have a friend in Jesus. Furthermore, I am blessed with the existence of the Pittsburgh Experiment and all of the many wonderful people in the Pittsburgh faith-based community, especially Carter Birely. I have experienced many situations where people have thought that I was a flake or not worthy. As a divine channel, it was Carter Birely who expressed unconditional love to reach out and help me. Indeed, it is through his endless quest to help people that Carter carries on the spirit of the Pittsburgh Experiment.

Regardless of whatever happens to me in my life, the Pittsburgh Experiment has made a lasting mark on my soul. Presently, I am faced with another challenge. My mom has an aggressive case of uterine cancer. It is through my belief in God that I praise everything that my mom has done for me. Also, I believe that my mom will get better. In many eyes, I am a loser. My mom has never stopped believing in me. I may never really succeed in a traditional or materialistic sense. However, I have learned the most important gift of God, and that is to love and forgive everyone.

Likewise, from the early days of the Pittsburgh Experiment to today, it is unconditional love coupled with innovation, intelligence, and soul that has resulted in better overall lives for many many people.  It really means a tremendous amount to me. THANK YOU.  Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm)

United States Holocaust Memorial Museum

Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) visited the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C. recently. He learned that if he had lived in Germany (Nazi region) during the era of the Holocaust that he would have probably been killed or sterilized due to his disability and his desire to reachout to other disabled individuals. Furthermore, his creative and zestful artistic expression would have been suppressed and spanked. Rescue Rick Yard Safety Awareness (RRYSA). Think before you cut. It hurts. I had the opportunity to hear and speak with Dr. Marvin Olasky, Editor-in-Chief of WORLD Magazine, during his travels to Pittsburgh (invited by the Reformed Presbyterian Church.) Dr. Olasky is a brilliant person with a very unique story and journey, parts that I could identify with personally. I am still learning about other religions of the world.  For instance, I have learned more about Islam while talking with a relative of Muhammad Ali during a visit to Louisville, Kentucky (hometown of Muhammad Ali); I gained a deeper understanding about the life of Muhammad Ali and Islam.  Nonetheless, I seek a better understanding of all major religions (Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, and Sikhism), and I am still available for appearances. Buddhist-Style Yard Safety Chant

The aim of Buddhist practice is to end the cycle of rebirth called samsara, by awakening the practitioner to the realization of true reality, the achievement of liberation (nirvana). To achieve this, one should purify and train the mind and act according to the laws of karma, of cause and effect: perform positive actions, and positive results will follow. Accordingly, negative deeds have negative consequences. A Buddhist chant is a form of musical verse or incantation.  In Buddhism, chanting is the traditional means of preparing the mind for meditation.

Meditation

Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man encourages meditation before doing yard work.  The power of mental imagery (in the eyes of God) might increase focus on using proper yard work technique.  I believe that the impact of mental imagery prior to yard work results in a heightened spiritual connectivity that will reduce yard accidents.  In essence, Jesus walks beside you while doing yard work.  Furthermore, Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man believes in the power of prayer.  Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm)
